Mediation is a process in which a trained mediator assists disputing parties in communicating their issues and exploring possible solutions. Mediators do not render any decision or provide any evaluation (no advice) of the cases; rather, they simply facilitate an exchange of information and settlement alternatives between parties. Mediation is characterized by a cooperative climate which sets the stage for constructive communication in the future.
Mediators will remain 100 percent neutral because they do not have a personal interest in the outcome of mediation. Mediators are simply there to help disputing parties negotiate a solution they both can agree upon.
Vanessa works with parties to resolve disputes to further avoid costly litigation expenses and understands the complexities and nuances in the law with her work experience. If you have a personal injury claim, family law issues, divorces—including those involving children, child custody conflicts/modifications, contract disputes, insurance claims, business conflicts, real estate claims, property conflicts, issues with neighbors/relatives, let us help guide you to a resolution.
Take control of the process and work toward an expedient, predictable result rather than allow a judge, arbitrator, or jury to make an unpredictable decision for you.
Our firm offers mediation services via Zoom or in-person. Contact us at vanessa@kubiksustaita.com or (214) 775-0728 for more information
Although no dispute resolution process can guarantee specific outcomes, the following are common benefits:
Mediation is a voluntary process.
You will NOT be forced to sign or agree to any resolution. Resolving the dispute is entirely up to the parties.
Mediation is private and confidential.
Do you want control over the process while ensuring a private, discreet resolution process, or would you rather air your grievances in public records and public hearings? If the former, let’s mediate.
Mediation is both timely and convenient.
Mediation can be scheduled in a matter of days. This is critical to preventing the escalation of conflict and any unnecessary delays.
Mediation has a high rate of compliance.
Parties who reach their own “customized” agreement are generally more likely to follow through and abide with its terms rather than those whose agreement has a been imposed by a third-party decision maker. Parties that negotiate their own settlements have more control over the outcome of their dispute, rather than relinquishing control of the future to an unpredictable judge or jury.
Mediation helps preserve ongoing relationships.
Agreements reached during mediation that address each of the parties’ needs (win/win) are much better able to preserve relationships rather those win/lose procedures. If preserving a working relationship is paramount, a negotiated settlement that takes into account each parties’ needs can be reached. Mediation is often helpful to the healing process and encourages positive and productive communications.
½ day mediation (4 hours): $550 per party
Full Day Mediation: $1,100 per party
2 hour Mediations: $300 per party
